Tools I Love #1: Copic Multiliner SP
Tools are important. A good tool not only removes barriers between you and what you want to do, but makes doing that thing delightful.
That's why I want to share with you my current favourite pen. It's the Copic Multiliner SP. I have the 0.3mm version, in black. Here it is in all its glory:
There are three main reasons why I love it so much.
- It draws beautifully smoothly, doesn’t smudge, and holds up wonderfully against the water-based and alcohol-based brush pens that I use for fills. It weighs just 9g, so I never get tired or uncomfortable while using it.
- It's bombproof. I have a habit of chewing pens, but the aluminium barrel on the Multiliner SP has resisted me for months now. I also have zero fear that it'll break and spew black ink all over the inside of my bag.
- It's going to last forever. Both the ink cartridge and the nib are replaceable, meaning that I'll never need to buy another one. Unless I want more nib sizes, which I already do.
Using this pen feels fantastic. It's my favourite item of stationary I have bought in the last year, against some stiff competition (more on that soon).
I love picking it out of the empty maple syrup can that serves as my pen-holder. I love holding it in my hand and drawing long, even lines. I love capping it up again and putting it back.
I'm sharing it with you today, as part of a new series about my favourite tools, because maybe you might like it too.
